Biden is within striking distance NOW

There are TWO seats which together could decide control of Senate  

One has to go to a run off  in January

The second CYCLOPS has watched for two days.

It is on the cusp of dropping below 50% for the incumbent PUBLICAN nasty.

That would mean BOTH go to a runoff election.

                         This would be a total vindication for the Law of Unintended Consequences

Some observations: US Politics and other

 As I  started to draft this post I was intending to  touch only very lightly on the disappointing US Elections.

• Rather writing something jokey about the imbecilic Johnson at #10 in UK
• Perhaps something snide about the Labour Party expelling their last leader
• The anti semitic idiot Corbyn.
• Before readmitting him through a famously dysfunctional disciplinary process
• Allowing themselves to wallow in yet another factional fight 
• Rather than seeing off the most incompetent British government since the defence of  gold standard

• Alternatively HRH could revel in Tottenham Hotspur dominating the Premier League
• Changing my predictions from  Mourinho being sacked in the summer
• To the winner of Chelsea vs Spurs this coming w/e inevitably being crowned champs at the end of the season.
• The palace will wait until Christmas[ a term still used when discussing UK Football fixtures] before predicting 
• Spurs do the treble

  Or we could celebrate the rumoured "secret"  meeting in Jeddah of the three most moderate leaders of the Abrahamic Faiths.

•   The Wahhabist Saudi Mohammed bin Salman
•   The White Evangelical and Trump foreign policy enforcer Mike Pompeo
•   The  orthodox expander of West Bank settlements in pursuit of peace and justice

The subjects on their agenda have not been verified but 

• Peace with Iran,

• would make for an  interesting chat       or

• Adramalech,  Ariman, Iblis and Satan have all been mentioned

• The Vatican  denied attendance  [Ed: read that as you like]

• No communiqué has been issued 
• But it seems there was a consensus that Pompeo should run in 2024

• He would make  a President in the mould of the others present

                 Well HRHC  good intentions  alas failed him and he found himself writing  on the election

   Many had asked why CYCLOPS has not shared wisdom about  USA elections.

  Truth is: he was too ashamed.

The electorate has yet again disgraced itself

The election of Uncle Joe and the defenestration of Herr Trumpfski is merely a silver lining.

• The Publicans lost ONE Senate Seat--ONE
• After 4 years of Trump and McConnel
• They gained 12 House seats
• They won every incumbent seat and 28 out of 29 competitive seats

• Democrats did not gain control in a single State legislative house or senate
• NONE
• Democrats now control both house and senate chambers in19 states.
• Publicans                                                                             in 32 states
• These include Georgia ,North Carolina, Florida and Texas
  
• All states where Publicans can legally redraw  district boundaries over the next two years
• Without ANY ability by Democrats to influence-let alone block -the outcome
• November 3rd Republicans had majorities in 59 chambers and Democrats in 39 .
  
• Now 63 to 37

                                The Publicans continue to control the redrawing of the map until the next census in 2030.

                         Gerrymandering and Voter suppression rule ---   NOT OK

•        Finger pointing within the Democatic Cognoscenti has begun.
•        Cyclops will not join in this.
•       Suffice to say Jim Clyburn, Joe Biden and Stacy Abrams  are in the clear.
•       I truly hope that young Bernie will gracefully accept Biden's letter and the Medal of Freedom "thanking him for his service"
•       He deserves a graceful and long lived retirement.
•       Chaver Bernie--greetings from the Hackney Workers Circle and Yiddisher arbeiter Bund -- geneig.

              Biden’s vote of  80 million is the largest in history.
                            Trumpfski's       73.9 million  is SECOND largest 
                                  Largest for any Publican
              Obama's  69.5  million in 2008 is third and
      4 1/2 million FEWER than the madman in the White House.

•  Have these 70+ million American citizens been observing anything these last 4 years ?

•  The sad truth is that yes they have .
•  They are apparently happy for four more years
•  The lies, the theft, the cruelty ,the idiocy, the bigotry and the madness. 

                                                

 Hard not to conclude  that to vote for Trumpfski's Publican Party   [TPP has a nice fascist ring to it] you need to be bigoted or ignorant or stupid or greedy or in need of the Rapture

• The only way to remove a senator from office before her/his term ends is through expulsion.
• This requires two-thirds[67] of the Senate to vote expel.
• The Publican votes are there[minus Cruz] but can 18 Democrats    be convinced to give up a gift that keeps on giving ?
