aw god Levy still there

Aw God Levy still there👹

Its been nearly two months since last BLOG

I fear some may have perished from lack of intellectual stimulae, bon mots and insights into politics, economics, life and football

No  excuses; IRS audit[by mail]Euro 2020 and grandchildren not adequate reasons to let down my vast reading audience.

No point in trying to catch up with the ridiculousness of that happening  Mother Earth

  • Trump increasingly bonkers.
  •  RUDY GIULIANI’S LEGAL DEFENSE FUND HAS RAISED $9,590
  • (JUST $4,990,410 TO GO!)
  • Trump refuses to pay any of Rudy's Legal invoices
  • Not taking his calls
  • Pundits mind blown that  Weiselberger not yet flipped
  • Ivanka next
  • Wilbur Ross still unindicted
  • Barr in hiding
  • With Pompeo
  • Liz Cheney, Democratic folk hero
  • IFC Icon
  • De Santis ducking Trumpfski
  • Joe Manchin in search of the bipartisan grail
  • Learned nothing from Church of Rome Mediaeval Schisms
  • Do not study that in  Appalacia
                                                     etc  etc etc

So just   some   comments  on two issues de jour
One serious ,one not so much

  • Ransomware Hackers demand $70 million in bitcoin
  • Russia-Linked Group Hacks 200 Businesses
  • Hacking gang says it has locked a million devices
  • Russia hacking claims pose challenge for Biden
  • Russians Tried To Hack Republican National Committee
Ed:  What on earth for?    Cyclops: beats me

Anyway the talking heads love this stuff.
They paint a picture of  the Mighty Bear
Toying with American Eagle
A continuation of the cold war by digital hacking
Us against Them     etc etc

Well obviously if Putin wanted to
He could close down these hackers in minutes
Off to the Gulag

But instead he plays nonchalant  while preening on the discomfort of the mighty US

So why?
There may be more wisdom gleaned by thinking of a school yard nerd in St Petersburg
Rather than a mighty  Russian Monarch
Russia is a third rate power economically
Totally dependent on exporting natural resources
A fraction of its Imperial size and might either under the Soviets or the Czars

Its attempts at projecting either hard or soft power an embarrasing failure.
In Syria, Iraq or Lebanon less influential than Iran
Irrelevant in its old ally Egypt
Bullying Georgia and Ukraine but then what
Haemoraging wealth and influence in occupying Crimea
Its offers of vaccine diplomacy totally ignored and untrusted in Africa
A derisory Vac rate in Russia itself because the people do not trust the government's propaganda
Continually locking up opponents  in fear of any actual elections

Russia is a busted flush. Putin a bully .
His forays into foreign adventures --however under resourced--and preening on the international stage are a cover for his weakness at home.
Pensions cut ,food subsidies needed but cut,
The vast Moscow hinterland totally impoverished.

Perhaps a few jolly hacks and tweaking the Americans will make him popular

Perhaps

But on to the SERIOUS STUFF

England play Denmark today hoping to capitalise on its soft draw and a series of home games at Wembley. Just like 1966.Declan rice playing really well so maybe West Ham will win this one too.
We shall see. Denmark do not have a Rattin to be sent off.

But while watching various games Cyclops thoughts have  been drawn back to the disasters at Tottenham under Dan [the man]Levy.

Levy is probably a great accountant [business man not so much] but does not understand football or footballers.

The best team at this tournament is comprised of Players that Levy sold for less than they were worth within months at their new teams.
Plus two current Spurs players.

                                                        Think not?

Goalkeeper:          LLoris of  France

Defence:
  •    Kyle Walker &  Kieran Trippier--       England
  •    Toby Alderweild & Jan Vertongen     Belgium
  •    Joe Rodon  &  Ben Davies-               Wales
  •   Sergio Reguilón                               Spain

  Mid Field:

  • Gareth Bale                                 Wales
  • Luka Modric                                Croatia
  • Christian Eriksen                    Denmark
  • Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg                Denmark
  • Nacer Chadli                               Belgium
  • Mousa Sissoko                           France
  • Tanguy Ndombele                      France
  • Steven Bergwijn                          Holland

  Attack:

                Harry Kane                        England

That is   17 at the tournament

Add in a few current Tottenham players not there.

Son Heung-Min                  Korea
Deli Alli & Eric Dyer         England [Mourinho victims]
Joe Hart back up goal keeper with 75 England caps
Matth  Doherty                   Ireland      [Mourinho victim]                                                  Lucas Moura                      Brazil
Giovanni Lo Celso             Argentina

Last two will be playing against each other in Copa America final on Sunday

Tell Cyclops that this 24 squad is not as good as any squad at the tournament😡!!!

Pity Levy did not buy De Bruyner when he had the chance

Sadly no room for Aurier or Sanchez 😈
Opposition would have to create their own chances👺
