Mohammad bin Salman not Dead

The palace  is astonished to note that Cyclops has note posted on the Desert Kingdom  since the release of the Saudi Seven when he posted :

"A Gulf Source has forwarded the following from Middle East Media
"Saudi Arabia elites released after tireless campaigning by foreign royal"
                             http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-4284161
All seven of the Princes and a number of others have been released to their homes and families."

Perhaps Cyclops has been discouraged by the lack of SAUDI  interest amongst his readers or  distracted by the arrival of a his third grandchild--"ITS A GIRL " πŸ‘ΆπŸ™πŸ‘

Anyway the Great Leader of Sunni Islam has had a mixed year
  • His extortion of his extended family went well
  • All released now
  • Only a couple died in the Ritz Carlton Riyadh
  • Previous maladies
  • Most of the detainees swiftly left Saudi for comfier pastures                                                                                                                                                                                                                   The Palace is assured that there are no resentments;certainly nobody plotting revenge.
The major piece of good news for Prince Mohammad came in  May
"Bin Salman not Dead"     screamed the headlines
https://www.newsweek.com/wheres-mohammed-bin-salman-not-dead-according-saudi-arabia-950996
Always good to read over one's croissants in the morning

This invigorating news left Mohammad free to pursue his transformation of the Saudi economy and continue with his brilliant and radical foreign policy

On the foreign policy front
  • The liberation of Yemen continues a pace
  • Its been four years and 100,000 deaths now
  • Saudi air strike took out  a menacing school bus last week slaughtering the occupants
  • Not even the Trumpfski WH applauded.
  • The blockade of Qatar is of course a triumphant success
  • As is his support of Syrian rebels against Assad.
  • Never mind at least he was able to rejoice in the declaration of a trade war with Canada and the  expulsion of its ambassador.
  • CANADA --not a typo.
To show seriousness Saudi patriotic group posted  image of the Toronto CN Tower on the web
                                                                Hearts and Minds
Word has it that the Yanks are getting a little nervous with Jared's best friend.
Maybe that is why Gulf dominated investment fund is buying into 666 Fifth Avenue

While foreign policy may not be the Prince's strong suit who can doubt his vision on transforming the Saudi economy away from its dependence on oil?
  • He still draws great plaudits for allowing women to drive.
  • Though locking up women's rights activists does take the lustre off a bit   //www.middleeasteye.net/news/detained-saudi-womenrs-rights-activists-could-face-death-penalty-saudi-media-944280895
  • Canadian concern over this trifle is what caused the the Prince's restrained call for a trade war.
  • The 2040 Economic plan is hitting the odd road bump
  • The listing of Aramco on international stock exchanges has vanished from discussion.
  • Oh the despair in London's Merchant Banks ,Law Firms and Media Advisers
  • Foreign investment into the Kingdom has collapsed.
  • Not much to start with                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     But this week  Great News !!!
  • Tesla's Elon Musk has announced that he wants to take the company private
  • "Elon Musk says going private is 'best path forward' for Tesla"                                                     https://money.cnn.com/2018/08/07/news/companies/elon-musk-tesla-private/index.html
  •  Saudi Sovereign Wealth Funds ,under personal guidance of bin Salman, are poised to take a large chunk.
  • The current Tesla stock price is  $330.
  • Valuing Tesla at $55 billion
  • Musk proposes that he and the Saudis go private at a price of  $420-440
  • Valuing Tesla at $72 billion about the same as  VolksVagen
  • It is believed that the Saudis have already built a five percent stake for $2+ billion
  • They would invest at least another $3-4 billion to own 10%
  • GM market value is $51 billion
  • Ford $38 billion
  • Tesla sales are less than 1 % of any of the above
  • Let alone the Japanese and Korean car makers
  • Tesla has NEVER made a profit
  • Just like UBER
  • Currently all the rest do
  • They are all investing in electrical vehicles
What could possibly go wrong?

Tesla 'to be probed by regulators' over privatisation plan
                                       https://www.bbc.com/news/business-45201155

A Saudi Tesla purchase of 10% for $6+/- billion would complement the $3.5 billion they paid for 5% of UBER  two years ago. This was prior to UBER leaving China, struggling in India, having its licence revoked in London.Paris etc and losing its CEO and founder to a series of scandals.

UBER is a private, illiquid company so it is difficult to verify market estimates that it is now valued at 30% of what the Saudis paid.

There is no truth to the reports that the professional advisers to the Sovereign Wealth Fund are fighting to kill the Tesla deal.
Nor to the vicious speculation that Bin Taleel is laughing his socks off.

As most western pundits have confirmed the people of Saudi Adore and Revere the Great Leader
the Crown Prince  and his Father their King
