I have been doing a phone round the UK to get a feel for the current political chaos.
During a conversation with a friend in London she asked what I thought would happen to Trumpski .
I wonder whether British and other non US readers had noticed that the Special Counsel had brought on a team of financial investigators and expanded his enquiries into all Trumpski associates financial dealings
I banged on a bit about it all going back to Russki Money.
Regular readers will know that I am always arguing that "it all going back to Russki money".

[Regular readers will be aware that in his past the King has been the chairman of a Ukrainian bank......... and of an investment trust in Moscow.]
The Trust had to be restructured and sold as a result of the 1998 Ruski Financial crisis and bond default.
In 2006 the bank was sold to its Ukrainian oligarch shareholder Rinat Akhematov.

This oligarch along with Vlad the imPUTINer financially backed the despot Viktor Yanukovych who was run out of town by the Orange Revolution. Ultimately leading to the Russian invasion of Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.

So back to Wilbur:
- Ross is Vice Chair and a leading investor in the Bank of Cyprus,the largest bank on the Island.
- By coincidence Cyprus is well known as an offshore havens for illicit Russian finance.
- Since its bailout by the IMF and Cyprus government in 2014,Ross has been Vice Chairman.
- Alongside several Russians,one of whom is believed to be a Putin surrogate,he is a substantial investor.
- A major investor in that bank is a Russian mega-billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev.[more later].
- Ross and his team invested more than $1 billion in the troubled Bank .
- Ross named a new chairman,Josef Ackerman,the disgraced chairman of Deutsche Bank.
- On Ackerman's watch,Deutsche Bank paid $20 billion in fines and settlements..
- Including $650 million fine for laundering Russian money through Deutsche's offices in Moscow, New York and Cyprus.
- FCA in UK said bank allowed unidentified customers to transfer $10bn from Russia in "manner highly suggestive of financial crime”.
- Money moved via UK Deutsche to accounts,"including in Cyprus, Estonia, and Latvia".
Deutsche Bank is Trumpski’s largest KNOWN lender, it extended him more than $300 million,which remains outstanding.
Why Ross would appoint anyone with such a poor record of banking conduct,and why he worked with the Russian oligarchs, remains a" mystery".
- His fellow bank co-chair, Vladimir Strzhalkovsky was effectively appointed by Vladimir Putin.
- The NY Times and Financial Times of London describe him as “a former KGB agent” and “long-time associate of Putin’s.”
- In February that year Ross paid $81 million to settle a lawsuit brought by shareholders that Ross breached his fiduciary duty when engineering the merger of two companies that he majority-owned..
- In August 2016,he reimbursed investors $11.8 million and paid a fine of $2.3 million to settle a Securities and Exchange Commission probe into the overcharging of fees by his investment company.
- To be fair he is also a major art collector and donor to think tanks and other charities.
- As is Rinat Akhematov.
- Neither of them is Jewish.
- This is important to Steve Bannon.
Ross is 80 years old and until the mid 2000's was apparently a registered Democrat.Bill Clinton appointed him to the board of the U.S.-Russia Investment Fund.
He only became a registered Republican in late 2016.
A year after he signed on to the Trumpf campaign,contributing $200,000.
Ross has been associated with Trumpf since his early bankruptcies in the 90's.
Mar -a-Lago
- Dmitry Rybolovlev[see above] had the most expensive divorce in history
- Wife awarded $4.5 billion.
- He conspired to hide his money buying into foreign real estate.
- This included a $100 million estate in Florida.The seller---Donald Trump.
- Trumpf had bought the estate out of bankruptcy two years earlier,
- For $40 million in 2006
- A modest $60 million profit in 2008.
- Neither Trumpf nor Rybolovlev ever lived on the property nor spent money to refurbish or upgrade.
- Rybolovlev has now torn down the buildings and is reported to be planning to parcel and sell off the land--probably at a very substantial loss.
- They claim they never met and the deal was handled by an intermediary.
Unknown if Ross was this intermediary,but
- He was co chair with Rybolovlev at the bank of Cyprus.
- He knew he was looking to hide his assets in real estate.
- He lived down the road from Trumpf at Mar-a-Lago
- He also knew that Trump needed an influx of cash to repay at debt to --who else
- Deutsche Bank.
All this ties Wilbur Ross, Bank of Cyprus,Deutche Bank and Dmitry Rybolovlev to POTUS
Why did NONE of this come up at the Wilbur Rosss Hearings?
Beats Me.But the Democrats will get a second bite.

Wilbur has kept his head down since his confirmation in March.
But now Mueller's Mob is on the trail of Russki money.
