SEDER AT THE BEACH DAYANU !

The Court is Decamping for their  Seder to the King's Fishing Lodge on the Deleware Coast.

We can assure our British family,subjects and friends that this year we will be using the newly issued
                                                         LIVINGSTON HAGADAH
                         

     

Some among you will be familiar with the ancient celebratory song DAYENU which the Jews have  been chanting at the Seder table lo these 3,500 years since the Exodus.

[cut the b.s. Cyclops,you know it was written during the Babylonian exile. 2500 years tops]

DAYENU translates as:"it would have been enough for us", or "it would have been sufficient" It lauds god for all the wonderful blessings bestowed on  the Ancient Hebrews;especially taking them out of slavery,There is no mention of her allowing them to be enslaved in the first place.

Anyway there are fifteen laudatory verses after each of which the congregants yells DAYENU and a little wine is spilled from each cup.The theme being that if  God had only given one of the  gifts  --DAYENU - -it would have still been enough.                                                                                         

In the spirit of Dayenu the King instructed the Royal Lyricist to compose some extra verses for

· Had he just claimed Jewish MPs are a "distortion running through politics”                                                                                                              DAYENU                                                        

·Had he just claimed "suddenly the Jews became reactionaries, turned Right, nearly to be fascists" after Menachim Begin became Israeli Prime Minister.                                                                                                   DAYENU              

Had he just claimed that "extremist Jews" were organising "paramilitary groups, which resemble fascist organisations",                                                                                                                                                                                  DAYENU

·Had he compares a Jewish journalist,Oliver Finegold, to a Nazi concentration camp guard                                                                     DAYENU             

                 

·Had he simply suggested Jews support the Tories because they have got rich                                                                                       DAYENU

· Had he only claimed this “storm about anti-semitism is manufactured by Zionists and Blairites to silence criticism of Israel and to smear the left. They know there is nothing to it”                                  DAYENU                                                                                            

·  Had he called the creation of Israel “fundamentally wrong,” and “a great catastrophe                                                DAYENU

· Or claimed the existence of the Jewish state …could ultimately lead to 

nuclear war.                                                                   DAYENU         

    

· Had he alleged claims of anti-semitism were invented by the Jewish Chronicle to silence criticism of Israel and to smear Jeremy Corbyn.                                                                                                                                                 DAYENU           

· Had he only claimed this “storm about anti semitism is manufactured by Zionists and Blairites to silence criticism of Israel and to smear the left.     They know there is nothing to it”                              DAYENU 

                        

· Or the existence of the Jewish state …could ultimately lead to nuclear war.                                                                                          DAYENU

·Had he alleged claims of anti-semitism were invented by the Jewish Chronicle to silence criticism of Israel and to smear Jeremy Corbyn.                      DAYENU 

·Had he only supported MP Naz Shah publishing a facebook screenshot suggesting that all Israelis should be "relocated"  to the United States" Problem solved,".                                                                                  DAYENU

·Or another in which Shah compares Israel to apartheid South Africa, segregated American South, and Germany under Hitler.                                       DAYENU
