   As I glance through a couple of years of thoughts I note several consistencies-

1.The EU is awful and in dire need of reform .

2.Enlightened self interest demands UK Remains

3. So does unenlightened

3.An element of the ruling class and parts of the population are unaware Empire Nostalgists.

4.The government is clueless in its negotiation posture

5.Labour would be no better

6.The majority of the elected parliament would clearly vote remain

7.The majority of the unelected parliament[house of lords] would clearly vote remain

8.The fat lady has not sung.

9.She never will.

10 UK may exit, but only in name only not in substance--leaving it within the market, with all of it obligations and no vote.

                                        Pretty much the same just reworded:  

• The fat lady will  NOT sing.
• She will not be fooled by a Canadian /Norwegian/Swiss or Montenegrin Solution.
• Brexit will NOT mean Brexit.  
• There will be a "Peoples Vote" in one form or another.
• That's a 2nd referendum.
• This is the only remaining road to Salvation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Unless of course Brexiteers follow the logic of their own rhetoric:

• Call for Parliament to decide.
•  On a free vote by each member.
•  Each then subject to the judgment of her/his constituents.
•  A return to British Representative Democracy.

SHOCK HORROR TRUMP AIDE RESIGNS OVER POLICY;predictions march 8,2018

 Sorry folks but between jet lag;storm driven power outages; lost Internet connections and palace wi fi network problems I have failed to keep up with the latest Trumpski  Mishigas.

So first some simple confirmations/predictions:  

 By the end of 2018:

•  Trumpski will be full time at Mar-a-Lago "convalescing" with the men in white coats.
•  Kushner will have been indicted for fraud,tax evasion and influence peddling.
•  He may be in Israel with the children having skipped bail.
• Ivanka will be a "person of interest" in the continuing Mueler probe ;
• Which by then will be clear to even the most Ostriched Publican Congressperson is about TRUMPSKI FAMILY CORRUPTION.
• Wilbur Ross will be wrapped in a blanket perfecting his "dementia" defence.
• Hope Hicks will either take a plea,publish a tell all or do a very tasteful Playmate centre fold shoot.
• Mannafort will be trying to bribe his warders with promissory notes.
• General Kelly will be writing his memoirs--just kidding.
• He will wait for the audio podcasts to listen to them.
• Pence will be holding prayer vigils in the Oval Office while claiming Trumpski will return from his sick break as soon as he can remember the WH phone number.
• Senate Leader Schumer and House Speaker Pelosi will be supporting single payer health reform,an increase in corporate taxes ,modest gun control to ban assault rifles and a full amnesty for the "dreamers".
• All intended to be vetoed by acting President Pence in time for the 2020 Presidential Election.
• Melania will have a smile on her face.
• So will  Vladamir Putin--Trumpski is dispensable,there are plenty of useful fools ready to serve.
• How is Jeremy doing?--No he is not Prime Minister.

But I digress.The collapsing White House has today to deal with a totally unexpected situation.

Gary Cohn,Trumpski chief economist, has resigned--

             not because of an inappropriate hand up a staffer's skirt
             not because he hitched rides on one too many corporate jets
             not because he overspent on his furniture budget
             not because he tried to hit up the Saudis,Qataris,Chinese or Russkis for a loan.

             not because he took his wife on an airforce jet to visit the gold in Fort Knox.
             not because he stuck some "special" provisions into the tax law
             not because someone heard him cursing in Yiddish and thought he was                                                                                   signalling to  Putin.
             not because he could no longer stomach the racism of Trumpski et al;he already failed that test.

  BUT over a POLICY

  Trumpski's idiotic steel tariff proved the last straw.  

  He could not stomach to be associated with such damaging,ignorant and dangerous economics.

•   White supremacy-                                                                       no problem
•  Cruel policy to young hispanics                                                     no problem  
•  Trump family conflicts of interest                                                no problem  
•  Moving the embassy to Jerusalem                                               no problem
•  Muslim Bans                                                                                   no problem
•  Vandalising health care for the poor                                          no problem
•  Blowing a hole in the National Accounts so                                                                                  that the rich and multinationals could get a                                                                                 massive tax break                                                      really no problem

The bridge too far was Trumpski keeping an ignorant election promise to a tiny frightened slice of his base. Working class steel workers in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Remember those coal jobs coming back?How many so far?

 Look it up--- minus 3,000.

Cohn's resignation is Truly a Portrait in Courage. 

Even John Ryan  explicitly opposes this nonsense.
